AUTHOR's POV: (1 year later after 2nd marriage)
It was a peaceful night, the only sound in the room being the ticking of the clock and the soft rustling of papers as Akshu studied. Her desk was filled with books and notes, all spread out as she prepared for her upcoming entrance exam for becoming a Professor. Though the night stretched on, Akshu's focus remained unbroken, her determination unwavering despite the long hours.
The door creaked open quietly, and Veer walked in, carrying a tray with a glass of milk and a bowl of dry fruits. He had been making sure Akshu was well taken care of during her study sessions, knowing how hard she was working.
"Akshu, drink some milk. You need to keep your energy up," Veer said gently, placing the tray on the desk beside her.
Akshu glanced up from her notes, giving him a tired but grateful smile. "Thank you, Veer. You're always thinking of me... it means a lot," she replied softly before turning back to her studies.
Just then, the peaceful moment was interrupted by the soft cry of their one-year-old daughter, Veera, from her crib. Akshu immediately started to rise from her chair.
"I'll go check on herโ" she began, but Veer was quick to place a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Sit down, I'll handle it," he said with a reassuring smile.
Akshu hesitated for a second, but then sat back down, trusting him. She watched as Veer walked over to the crib where Veera was fussing, her little hands reaching out as soon as she saw her father.
"Hey, my little princess, what's the matter?" Veer whispered as he scooped her up into his arms, cradling her gently. He began to hum a soft lullaby, swaying her in his arms. His deep, calming voice filled the room, bringing a sense of peace.
"Shh... Papa's got you," Veer whispered soothingly, patting her back. Slowly, Veera's crying faded, her tiny body relaxing in her father's arms. Her eyelids fluttered closed, and soon, she was fast asleep once more, lulled by her father's love and care.
Akshu couldn't help but watch, her heart swelling with emotion. Her eyes flicked to the bed, where their four-year-old son, Aarav, was already fast asleep, curled up peacefully in his blankets.
Veer gently placed Veera back in her crib, tucking her in carefully before turning back to Akshu. "Now, you focus on your studies. We're all with you," he said, his voice filled with pride and affection.
Akshu smiled, her heart full. "You're incredible, Veer. I don't know how I could do any of this without you."
Veer leaned against the desk, crossing his arms. "You've always had it in you, Akshu. I'm just here to make sure you get to where you're meant to be," he said with a grin.
Akshu looked at him with so much love, feeling overwhelmed by his support. This wasn't just about the examโit was about everything they were building together, and how Veer was always there, making sure she never had to carry the weight alone.
Veer glanced at the tray he had brought. "Now, finish your milk and dry fruits. The doctor said it's important," he added with a teasing smile.
Akshu laughed lightly. "Okay, okay, I'll drink it," she said, picking up the glass of milk, knowing he wouldn't let her off the hook so easily.
As she sipped her milk, she watched Veer quietly tuck Aarav in again, his love and care evident in every small action. Akshu's heart swelled with gratitude. Veer wasn't just an incredible fatherโhe was her partner in every sense of the word.
"Thank you, Veer," she whispered, her voice full of emotion.
Veer smiled and winked at her. "Always, for you," he replied, walking over and placing a soft kiss on her forehead. Then Akshu returned to her books, while completely focusing on her notes.

VEER's POV: (2 years later - Veera: 3year old & Aarav: 6 years old)
It was the perfect Saturdayโno work, no rush, just the family and some quality time. I was on the couch with Veera on my lap, completely engrossed in Rapunzel (for the hundredth time), while Riansh sat on the other side, clearly engrossed with her in the movie.
The movie was playing, and Veera, with her usual excitement, was pointing at the screen, her little voice full of awe. "Da-da! Look! Rapunzel's hair is sooo long!" she squealed, her eyes wide.
Riansh, never one to let a moment pass, leaned in with a smirk. "You know, baby, when your Da-da had long hair, he looked just like Rapunzel." He winked at me, obviously teasing.
[Rapunzel Veeranshu with long blonde hairs๐ญ๐ญ๐โ๐ป]
I rolled my eyes, shaking my head. "Will you shut up your mouth in front of my daughter"
Veera giggled, her attention momentarily drawn away from the screen. "So, he was a Rapunzel Da-da, but where his long magic hairs."ย she asked innocently, her big eyes looking up at me.
Riansh didn't miss a beat. "Oh, the magic is gone now. That's why he has short hair," he said with mock seriousness, nudging me.
Just then, Veera's stomach made a funny sound, and she turned to me with a pout, her little hands clutching her belly. "Da-da, I'm hungry," she said in that cute voice of hers.
Before I could respond, Riansh chimed in. "Ah, the royal princess is hungry. Da-da, better not disappoint her, or else you'll have to answer to the queenโaka Bhabhimaa" he said, grinning.
I shot him a look but couldn't help laughing. "Alright, alright. What does my little princess want to eat?"
Veera put on her thinking face, tapping her finger to her chin like she was making a very important decision. After a moment, her eyes lit up. "Umm... yeah! Sugar-filled heart-shaped roti!"
I blinked, slightly confused. Sugar-filled heart-shaped what? "Sugar-filled heart-shaped roti? What's that?" I asked, genuinely curious.
Riansh leaned over, clearly enjoying my confusion. He said sheepishly grinning, "Bhaiyya, whatever my angel ordered make two of it." I slapped his back of the head, "Make for yourself, idiot. I'm only making it for my Princess."
Veera slapped her tiny hand to her forehead. "Da-da! Mumma makes sooo pletty heart-shaped rotis, and I want to eat them now!" she said, her voice filled with adorable frustration, as if I was supposed to be the world expert in heart-shaped rotis.
[Yebhi wahi reel h jisse tum dekh kr aaye ho. Kya mtlb aadhe se zyada log baccho ki reels dekh kr aaye h๐ญโ๐ป]
Ah, now I got it. "Of course! How could I forget? Right away, ma'am. Stay here with your Riansh Chachu, and I'll be back with your special roti," I said, giving her a playful salute, which made her giggle as she snuggled into Riansh.
[haaye I'm in love.๐ญ๐ค๐ป]
Riansh winked at Veera. "Don't worry, Veera. If your Da-da burns the kitchen down, we'll order pizza," he teased.
"Not happening!" I called out as I headed to the kitchen, leaving Riansh laughing behind me.
I headed to the kitchen with a determined look. But here's the thingโI had no idea how to make this magical heart-shaped roti. So, naturally, I video-called the expert.
The screen lit up, and Akshu's smiling face appeared. "Hello, Mr. Singhaniya. How can I help you today?" she teased, clearly enjoying herself.
I grinned back. "Well, Mrs. Singhaniya, I've got a bit of a situation here. Our little princess has requested 'sugar-filled heart-shaped roti,' and I'm lost. Care to guide me?" I asked, scratching my head in mock confusion.
Akshu laughed, shaking her head. "Of course. Don't worry, I'll walk you through it."
With her guidance, I got to work, and about half an hour later, I had some pretty good-looking heart-shaped rotis on the plate. I called out for Veera.
She rushed in, her excitement contagious. As I picked her up and handed her the plate, I said, "Pretty rotis for my pretty angel."
Riansh, who had wandered into the kitchen, peeked over my shoulder. "Well, well, look at that! The magic is backโRapunzel Da-da has made heart-shaped rotis. Impressive!"
[Rapunzel Da-da had me๐ญโ๐ป๐]
I rolled my eyes, but Veera, completely ignoring the banter, clapped her hands and kissed my cheek. "Thank you, Da-da! You're the best!"
I grinned, holding her close. "Anything for my little princess."
[Aww cuties๐ฅน๐ฅน]
Riansh gave me a pat on the back. "Good job, Bhaiyya. But let me have some taste of it. You know expert advise.", Riansh smirked and was going to grab a bite of that roti but I stopped him.
"We don't need your expertise Mr. Riansh Singhaniya. It's for my daughter. Get lost", I said and he ran away not before stuffing his mouth with the roti. "Idiot", I murmured.ย
As I watched Veera enjoy her heart-shaped roti, I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend the day.

AUTHOR'S POV (1 YEAR LATER: 4 years old: Veera, 7 years old: Aarav, 9 years old: Daksh)
It was a warm afternoon, and Veera was out in the garden with her big brother Aarav and his best friend Daksh. Aarav was counting for their game of hide and seek, and Veera was darting around excitedly. Daksh, being the grumpy kid he was, wasn't particularly thrilled but tagged along anyway. He watched Veera with a mix of amusement and reluctance, trying to pretend he wasn't enjoying the game as much as he actually was.
"Little Dove, you're gonna get caught if you hide there," Daksh grumbled, spotting her half-hidden behind a bush. He rolled his eyes but couldn't help walking over to help her find a better hiding spot. "Come here, behind the tree," he muttered, pointing.
[Waah Sasur bulata tha Little Birdie aur Damad...oops spoiler nhi]
Veera giggled, her excitement uncontainable. "Thank you, Daksh!" she whispered, crouching down beside him. Despite his grumpy exterior, Daksh always seemed to end up helping her.
Aarav's voice rang out, "Ready or not, here I come!" and he started his search.
Daksh sighed, leaning against the tree, trying to act disinterested. "You always make things harder for me, Veera," he muttered under his breath, though his eyes softened as he watched her smile.
Veera looked up at him with her big, innocent eyes. "But you're the best at hiding! That's why I always want to hide with you!"
"Yeah, I'm best at hiding even my emotions.",ย he muttered under his breath but was inaudible to Veera.
Before Daksh could respond, Aarav came close. Daksh quickly pulled Veera down lower behind the tree, his grumpy expression turning into something more protective. When Aarav moved away again, Veera leaned over and kissed Daksh on the cheek, her little way of saying thank you.
Daksh froze, his face immediately turning red. "What was that for?" he muttered, rubbing his cheek as if trying to wipe away the kiss, though he didn't really mind.
Veera giggled. "Because you're nice to me."
Daksh frowned, crossing his arms." Don't do that again," he said, though his voice lacked the bite he intended.ย
Veera giggled again and held out her pinky finger. "But you have to make me a promise, too."
Daksh groaned. "What now?"
"You have to promise to be my prince, and I'll be your Rapunzel!" Veera said, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Daksh stared at her, trying to maintain his grumpy faรงade, but he couldn't help the faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. "Fine," he muttered. "I'll be your prince, and you can be my Rapunzel."
They pinky swore on it, sealing their little deal.
"Now you have to rescue me from a tower one day!" Veera added with a bright grin.
[Are we foreshadowing something?? Hmmm....who knows๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ]
Daksh rolled his eyes but couldn't help a small chuckle. "Yeah, yeah. I'll rescue you. Just don't tell anyone about this, okay?"
"Okay, prince!" Veera said cheerfully.
Just then, Aarav found them, shouting, "Gotcha!" as he tagged Daksh. Both Veera and Daksh burst into laughter, though Daksh quickly tried to compose himself.
Grumpy as he tried to be, Daksh couldn't help but let his guard down around Veera. Even if he didn't admit it, being her "prince" wasn't so bad after all.
