10. Mirchi🌶️

Next Day In Singhaniya Mansion:

Everyone was busy preparing for Veeraksh's engagement ceremony. Each family member was diligently working on their assigned tasks, adding to the festive atmosphere. However, amidst all the hustle and bustle, Akshu felt increasingly restless. As the days flew by, her anxiety grew. She was scared about what the future held for her.

On the other hand, Veer was overjoyed about starting a life with his love. He had realized that he truly loved her. His mother shared in his happiness, glad that her son was finally marrying and that she was gaining a daughter-in-law she adored.

Meanwhile, Dadi and the cousins were enthusiastically planning which songs to play for the dance performances, adding to the excitement.

When everyone gathered at the dining table, Akshara purposely sat beside Pakhi to avoid Veer. But Veer, being Veer, chose the seat on her other side. As everyone was busy eating, Veer discreetly held Akshara's hand under the table. Akshara's eyes widened in shock and fear that someone might notice.

"Veer, what are you doing? Leave my hand, anyone can see us like this," she whispered, trying to free her hand but failing.

"Why should I leave you? I don't care if anyone sees us. Remember, you are my wife," he said in a loving, sweet voice that even surprised him.

Akshu gave him a pleading look with her puppy eyes. "Okay baby, I'll let go of your hand, but you have to give me a kiss on the cheek," Veer said, releasing her hand and turning his cheek towards her.

Akshu nervously looked around; it seemed like everybody was ordered to not look up. Seizing the moment, she quickly gave him a peck on the cheek. Veer was taken aback, and both of them blushed deeply.

(Aww my cutieess😘😘)

Soon, evening came, and everyone was getting ready for the function. Akshara wore a beautiful blue lehenga that shimmered with intricate silver embroidery. The lehenga had a fitted blouse with delicate lace details and a flowing skirt that gracefully swirled with her every movement. Her dupatta was draped elegantly over her shoulder, adorned with sparkling sequins that caught the light with every step. Her hair was styled in soft waves, and she wore minimal but elegant jewelry that added to her ethereal beauty.

As she struggled to tie the dori of her blouse, which seemed just out of her reach, Veer entered the room. He was mesmerized by the sight of her, thinking to himself, "She looks just like a dream, the prettiest girl I've ever seen."

Leaning against the door, he watched her actions with a slight chuckle. He then walked over to her and stood behind her. "Shall I?" he asked.

Akshara looked up, feeling a mix of embarrassment and hesitation. She was unsure whether to accept his help. Sensing her dilemma, Veer reassured her, "Sweetheart, I will not look. Okay?"

She nodded, and Veer closed his eyes, placing his hands gently on her back. The touch sent an electric shock through both of them, making their hearts race. Veer felt the softness of her skin under his fingertips and struggled to control his emotions. Slowly, he tied the knot, feeling each delicate movement and the warmth of her skin.

When he was done, he stepped back and opened his eyes. "You look so beautiful. Just like mine," he said softly.

Akshara blushed deeply, looking away to hide her smile. Veer noticed and couldn't help but smile in return. "Toh chalein..." he asked. She nodded, and they left the room together.

Before descending the stairs, Veer held her hand, sensing her nervousness. He gave her a reassuring squeeze, and they walked down together. Veer looked incredibly handsome in his blue sherwani, perfectly matching Akshara's lehenga. The sherwani had intricate silver embroidery that mirrored the designs on her outfit, making them look perfectly coordinated. Every girl present was drooling over Veer, but his eyes were fixed only on one person: his wife, Akshara.

( Hey bhagwan konsa upwas rakhna padega, aisa pati Milne ke liye 😭)

As they reached the bottom of the stairs, the guests couldn't help but admire the stunning couple. The intensity of their connection was palpable, making them the center of attention. Veer couldn't take his eyes off Akshara, and she felt his gaze, which made her heart flutter even more.

They made their way towards the stage and settled on a large velvety sofa. All the cousins, along with Shyra and Abhiyansh, joined them on the stage. The elders came forward and blessed the couple, while Meera and Sulochana placed a red chunni on Akshu's head and performed her aarti. They repeated the same for Veer, who stood proudly beside his bride.

Soon, the Panditji arrived, chanting holy mantras, and instructed them to exchange rings. Akshu, feeling a knot of nerves in her stomach, hesitated. She didn't want to put the ring on his finger. Sensing her anxiety, Veer gently held her fingers and gave them a tender peck. The crowd erupted in cheers and coos. Smiling, he then slid a beautiful diamond ring, engraved with his initials, onto her finger.

Now, it was Akshu's turn. Shyra handed her the ring, but Akshu, seeking an escape, pretended to throw it away. Veer noticed her actions but chose not to say anything. Instead, he calmly ordered a replacement ring, identical to the first. Akshara felt trapped, knowing she had been caught. She wished she could disappear. Shyra nudged her and told her to proceed. Reluctantly, Akshara took Veer's hand and slid the ring onto his finger.

The room burst into applause and laughter as the cousins and family members celebrated, dancing joyfully with the bride and groom.

Later, as they sat on the sofa, the cousins devised a plan to tease the couple. They approached them and said, "Bhabhimaa and Bhaiyya, as a new couple, you should feed each other."

Veer recognized it as another playful prank but was eager to enjoy being fed by his wife's beautiful hand.

( Haan, abhi khilwati hu yaad rahega jindagi bhar😏)

Akshu felt cornered but nodded in agreement. Ansh handed them a plate of food. Spotting some chili aside, Akshu saw an opportunity for revenge for Veer's kidnapping stunt.

While everyone was chatting, she sneakily added some chili to the sabji and hid it inside the chapati before feeding it to him. Veer, enchanted by her presence, didn't realize he had already taken eight bites.

"Veer, bhaiyya kaisa lag rha h bhabhi maa ke haat se khake?" Hriday asked, grinning.

Veer forced a tight-lipped smile and replied, "Tasty." Despite the overwhelming spiciness, he didn't want to upset Akshu.

Akshu eagerly awaited his reaction but saw none. Instead, she began to feel guilty and stopped feeding him, turning away. She didn't understand why she felt pain seeing him in pain. Fighting back tears, she looked up to find he was gone.

"Bhabhi maa, bhaiyya had to make an urgent call, that's why he went. Don't worry. Let's have dinner," Ansh said, and everyone nodded.

Meanwhile, Veer retreated to his room and immediately ordered two tubs of ice cream. He gulped down water to soothe the burning sensation in his mouth. "Ab lagta h biwi ke haat se kabhi nhi khaunga," he said, panting.

[Aur aagya swaad🥱🥱]

A man soon arrived with the ice cream, and Veer instructed him to keep the incident private. He sat on his leather sofa, devouring the ice cream to calm his fiery taste buds.

As he worked, he glanced at the ring on his finger and smiled, thinking of Akshara. He decided to check on her and found her sitting sadly by the window. Approaching her, he asked, "Sweetheart, why are you sad?"

"Veeransh, I am...am sorry," she stammered, her eyes glossy with unshed tears. Veer was confused but touched by her concern.

"Veeransh, are you okay? That food was really spicy, right?" she asked, her eyes reflecting genuine worry.

He smiled at her concern and replied, "Baby, it's nothing. Don't feel sad, it was unintentional," he said, gently caressing her hair.

She hadn't realized she called him by a nickname. When it dawned on him, he asked, "What did you just call me?" Akshara blushed, cursing herself.

"Umm...sorry, it was by mistake. I won't call..." she began, but he interrupted.

"No, you will call me that only," he ordered sweetly.

"Say it again," he urged.

She nodded shyly and said, "Veeransh." Veer placed his hands dramatically on his chest and said, "Haaye, jaan, tumhare muh se ye naam sunne ke liye, hum 100 mirchiyan khane ko taiyyar h."

[Haaye, sweetheart I am ready to eat 100 chillies, if I get to listen this name from your mouth.]

Blushing furiously, Akshara ran from the room. Veer laughed, his heart full of love and joy, savoring the thought of his dear wife.
