34. Monster!!

Akshu's POV:

The pounding ache in my head felt like someone was hammering away inside. My eyes slowly adjusted to the dim light of the room, and the stench hit me like a brick wall, making my stomach churn. As I struggled to sit up, I realized my hands were bound behind my back, adding to the panic rising within me.

Finally managing to push myself up, I knew I couldn't just stay here and wait for whatever nightmare awaited me. But before I could even plan my escape, the metallic door creaked open, announcing the arrival of my captors.

"Looks like she's finally awake," one of them grunted, his voice sending shivers down my spine as they approached me with menacing glares.

They exchanged a glance, a silent agreement that sent a wave of dread through me. I desperately tried to avoid their eyes, but it was no use.

With a rough tug, one of them grabbed my arm, his grip so tight it felt like my bones might snap. I couldn't hold back a cry of pain as he yanked me up, his face twisted into a cruel sneer.

"Shut up, Bitch," the other one spat, his words dripping with venom as he raised his hand to strike me.

The slap echoed through the room, leaving a sharp sting on my cheek and hot tears of humiliation streaming down my face. I felt utterly helpless, trapped in a nightmare with no way out.

The journey through the dark corridors felt like a descent into the depths of despair. Each step echoed with the weight of my fear, knowing that I was being led closer to the man who held my fate in his hands.

Finally, we reached the opulent office where the boss sat like a king on his throne. His back was facing me. "Boss, she is here.", One of them said and pushed me with so much of force, that I fell near the man feet. He turned his chair and glanced at me. His eyes gleamed with a hunger that sent shivers down my spine, and I couldn't help but feel a wave of revulsion wash over me.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" he purred, his voice smooth as silk but laced with a sinister edge. He leaned back in his chair, his gaze raking over me as if I were nothing more than a prized possession.

I squared my shoulders, trying to summon the courage to face him. "Please, let me go," I pleaded, my voice barely above a whisper.

But his smile only widened, and I knew that my words had fallen on deaf ears. "Oh, my dear, I'm afraid it's not that simple," he said, his tone dripping with false sympathy. "You see, I have other plans for you."

My heart sank as I realized the depth of my predicament. "Who are you??", I asked because I have never heard of this man from Veeransh or anyone. "Your husband didn't informed you about his biggest rival 'Vidyut Lodha'", he said with so much hate and venom in his voice.

"What do you want from me?" I asked, my voice trembling with fear.

He leaned forward, his eyes burning with a hunger that made my skin crawl. "Your husband... he's been a thorn in my side for far too long," he said, his voice low and dangerous. "But you, my ROSE, you possess a beauty that he could only dream of."

I recoiled at his words, feeling a surge of anger and disgust rise within me. "My husband will be here anytime soon, coming to save me.", I spat, my defiance surprising even myself.

But the boss's smile faltered, replaced by a cold, steely glare. "Just Shut up, Rose!! No one can come here this is my personal Island. You understood. And I'm not letting you go anywhere. You will marry me."

"I won't marry you, Monster.", the anger and disgust I'm feeling for this man is so much. How can he talk about marriage like this. I won't a marry a monster like him. "You will do as I say," he growled, his voice laced with barely contained fury. "You will marry me, and you will do it willingly. Or else..."

I knew what that "or else" meant, and a chill ran down my spine at the thought of the consequences of defiance. But I refused to let him see my fear. "I'll never agree to this," I said, my voice shaking but resolute.

His eyes narrowed, and I could see the rage simmering beneath the surface. "Very well," he said through clenched teeth. "If you won't be my bride willingly, then you'll stay here as my prisoner until you see reason."

With a wave of his hand, he motioned to one of his lackeys, who roughly grabbed me by the arm and dragged me out of the office. "Take her to one of the guest rooms," he ordered, his voice icy with anger. "And make sure she's ready for the ceremony in two days."

As I was led away, my heart sank with the weight of my helplessness. I knew that time was running out, and I had to find a way to escape before it was too late. But with each passing moment, it seemed like my options were slipping further and further away.

The guest room they led me to was a stark contrast to the opulence of the boss's office. It was luxurious, yet the lavishness felt suffocating, a gilded cage meant to keep me captive.

Golden light cascaded from glittering chandeliers, casting a warm glow over the room's plush furnishings. A king-sized bed, adorned with silk sheets and velvet throw pillows, dominated the space, inviting but somehow sinister in its extravagance.

Along one wall, floor-to-ceiling windows offered a breathtaking view of the city skyline, but the heavy drapes that framed them remained drawn shut, blocking out the world beyond.

A mahogany dresser stood against another wall, its polished surface reflecting the soft light in a gleaming sheen. On top of it sat an ornate jewelry box, its intricate carvings hinting at the wealth and power of its owner.

Despite the luxury that surrounded me, I couldn't shake the feeling of being trapped, imprisoned in this gilded cage with no way out. The plush surroundings only served to highlight the stark reality of my situation—the fact that I was nothing more than a pawn in the boss's twisted game.

As the door slammed shut behind me, I sank onto the bed, my mind swirling with fear and desperation. The reality of my situation crashed over me like a tidal wave, threatening to engulf me in despair.

I could hear the muffled sounds of activity outside the door, a constant reminder that I was trapped in this nightmare with no way out. Tears welled up in my eyes as I struggled to hold back the overwhelming sense of hopelessness that threatened to consume me.

But amidst the fear and despair, a spark of defiance flickered to life within me. I refused to give up without a fight. I couldn't let this monster control my fate, dictate my future.

With renewed determination, I pushed myself off the bed and began to pace the room, searching for any sign of weakness in my prison. But the walls were solid, the windows barred, and the door locked tight.

I was alone, trapped in a nightmare of my own making.

Hours passed in agonizing silence as I wrestled with my thoughts, my emotions running wild. Fear, anger, despair—they crashed over me in waves, threatening to drown me in their darkness.

But amidst the turmoil, a glimmer of hope emerged. I couldn't give up. I wouldn't give up. I had to find a way to escape, to break free from this prison and reclaim my life.

Veer's POV:

The days stretched into an agonizing blur, each moment filled with worry and uncertainty. My thoughts were consumed by Akshu, my beloved, who seemed to have vanished without a trace. Questions tormented me—was she safe? Had something terrible happened to her? But I refused to entertain those dark thoughts. Akshu was strong, resilient. She would fight whatever adversity came her way.

Yet, despite my efforts, I was unable to find any clues about her whereabouts. I exhausted every connection, even turning to my underworld associates for help, but to no avail. It was as if she had disappeared into thin air, leaving me to wrestle with my fears and doubts.

My appetite had vanished along with Akshu, the mere thought of her going hungry haunting me day and night. How could I eat when she might be suffering? As I sat at my desk, staring at the phone willing it to ring, I couldn't shake the gnawing fear that gripped my heart.

Finally, the phone jolted me out of my reverie, and I hastily answered, my voice betraying my desperation. "Yes, say, did you get any signs of Akshu?"

There was a pregnant pause before the hacker's voice crackled through the line, "Yes, it looks like she has triggered the diamond on the Lotus ring, activating the tracker installed within it."

[He is our Mystery man, from Stolen Glances😏😏]

Relief washed over me like a tidal wave, mingled with a renewed sense of determination. "Thank you," I breathed, gratitude flooding my words. "Please, track it and inform me. I can't delay anymore."

"Consider it done," the hacker replied confidently before ending the call.

I sat back in my chair, a glimmer of hope igniting within me. "I will save you, Akshu," I whispered to myself, the promise ringing like a mantra in my ears. With renewed purpose, I set about making preparations, my mind already racing ahead to the moment when I would finally hold her in my arms again.

In the dimly lit living room, the weight of worry and sadness hung heavily in the air. I sat slumped on the couch, my head bowed and my heart heavy with the absence of Akshu.

My mother, always the pillar of strength in our family, sat beside me, her gentle presence a source of comfort in the midst of our shared anguish. She reached out and placed a hand on my shoulder, her touch warm and reassuring.

"Veer," she began softly, her voice a soothing melody in the silence of the room. "I know how much Akshu means to you, to all of us. But we have to believe that she will come back to us."

I looked up, my eyes filled with tears that I had been fighting to hold back. "But what if something terrible has happened to her, Maa?" I whispered, the fear gripping my heart like a vice. "What if we never see her again?"

My mother's gaze softened, her eyes brimming with tears of her own. "I understand your fears, my dear," she said, her voice gentle and comforting. "But we cannot lose hope. Akshu is strong, and she loves you deeply. I believe with all my heart that she will find her way back to us."

Her words were like a balm to my wounded soul, easing the ache of uncertainty that had settled within me. I leaned into her embrace, finding solace in the warmth of her presence.

"We will find her, son," my mother whispered, her voice filled with conviction. "Together, as a family, we will bring her back home where she belongs."

And in that moment, the only comforting thing other than Akshu was my Maa. I placed my head on her lap. She was slowly caressing my face and hair. She is just a true magician. I know maa, has hidden inside but she is too emotional person. She won't show how much she is gong through alot.

📖

As the days stretched into an agonizing blur of captivity, Akshu's heart ached with longing for her husband. The thought of him kept her going, a beacon of hope in the darkness that surrounded her. She couldn't bear the idea of submitting her life to anyone else, of betraying the vows she had taken with the man she loved more than anything in the world.

One night, as she lay awake on the cold, hard floor of her room, her eyes caught sight of something unexpected—a bathroom window left slightly ajar. Her heart leaped with the possibility of escape, of freedom from the clutches of her captors. With trembling hands, she pushed the window open wider, the cool night air a welcome relief against her skin.

The height was daunting, the ground far below seeming like an impossible distance to traverse. But Akshu's determination outweighed her fear, her love for her husband giving her the strength to try. With a makeshift rope fashioned from a long bedsheet, she tied one end to the window frame and carefully lowered it out into the night.

With a deep breath, she began her descent, her heart pounding with every inch closer to freedom. Each moment felt like an eternity, her muscles screaming with exertion as she fought to hold on. But the thought of her husband waiting for her on the other side spurred her on, pushing her to keep going no matter the cost.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, she reached the ground below, her legs trembling with exhaustion but her spirit soaring with triumph. She took a shaky step forward, her eyes fixed on the distant glow of the main gate, her freedom within reach at last.

But before she could take another step, she heard the sound of footsteps behind her, followed by the harsh voices of her captors. Panic surged through her veins as she realized she had been caught, her hopes of escape dashed in an instant.

"Stop right there!" one of the men shouted, his voice filled with anger and frustration.

Akshu turned to face them, her heart sinking as she met their cold, merciless gaze. She knew that her bid for freedom had failed, that she was once again at the mercy of those who sought to control her fate. But even in the face of defeat, she refused to give up hope.

As Akshu dashed towards the gate, her heart pounding with desperation and fear, she could hear the menacing footsteps of her captors closing in behind her. With every step, her resolve hardened, fueled by the thought of reuniting with her beloved husband.

But just as she reached out for the gate, hoping to grasp onto the fleeting tendrils of freedom, a shadow loomed before her, blocking her path. It was the boss, his imposing figure towering over her like a specter of doom.

Before she could react, his iron grip closed around her wrist, pulling her back with a brutal force that sent shockwaves of pain rippling through her body. "No!" she cried out, her voice filled with defiance and desperation.

The boss's eyes gleamed with a cruel satisfaction as he tightened his grip, his voice dripping with malice. "Where do you think you're going, my Rose?" he sneered, his words laced with venom.

Akshu struggled against his hold, her heart hammering in her chest as she fought to break free. "Let me go!" she pleaded, her voice choked with tears.

But the boss's grip only tightened further, his laughter echoing through the empty corridors like a sinister melody. "I'm afraid that's not an option, my Love," he said, his tone cold and unforgiving. "You belong to me now, and there's no escape from that."

With a sinking heart, Akshu realized that her hopes of freedom had been shattered once again, replaced by the crushing weight of her captivity. But even as she was dragged away into the darkness, a spark of defiance burned within her, a silent vow to never give up the fight for her freedom, no matter the cost.
