42. I am FOREVER YOURS TRULLY!!

📖

After the Janmashtami celebration, three weeks had passed, and everything at the Singhaniya mansion returned to its usual routine. Akshu went back to teaching dance at her academy, while Veer became busy with his office work and his secret mafia activities. Both of them were so caught up in their schedules that they hardly found any time to spend together.

One bright, sunny morning, the mansion seemed to glow with the promise of a beautiful day. The family members had taken a day off to enjoy some quality time together. The elders sat in the living room, happily chatting about their younger days, sharing stories that brought smiles and laughter. The younger family members sat around them, listening with interest, laughing at some stories, and asking questions about others.

Hriday, was dozing off on the couch, his head leaning on Riansh's shoulder. He was snoring softly, much to Riansh's annoyance. Riansh kept glaring at him, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes, clearly showing his affection for his younger brother. Every time Hriday snored a little louder or moved closer, Riansh rolled his eyes but couldn't help but smile.

Wait a min!! Where is our Beloved Couple?? Oh yeahh...... Scene shift to their bedroom.

In the spacious and elegantly decorated bedroom of Veer and Akshu, soft rays of the morning sun filtered through the sheer curtains, casting a gentle glow over the room. The soft hum of the air conditioner blended with the occasional chirping of birds outside, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere.

On the king-sized bed, Veer lay sprawled comfortably, his body relaxed in a deep slumber. His chiseled features were softened by the warmth of sleep, and a faint smile graced his lips, hinting at a pleasant dream. His dark hair was tousled against the pillows, adding a boyish charm to his otherwise rugged appearance. One of his strong arms was draped protectively around Akshu's waist, his hand resting lightly but possessively on her side, as if even in sleep he couldn't bear to let her go. His other arm was bent behind his head, providing support and adding a casual, yet confident, posture to his sleeping form.

Akshu, nestled close to him, was lying on her side, facing Veer. Her face was serene and peaceful, her long lashes casting delicate shadows on her cheeks. Her hair cascaded over the pillow in soft waves, framing her gentle features. She was curled slightly into Veer, her hand resting lightly on his chest, feeling the steady rhythm of his heartbeat under her palm. A contented smile tugged at her lips, her expression one of quiet happiness and love. Even in sleep, her body seemed to gravitate towards Veer, as if drawn by an invisible force.

Their bodies were close, almost molded together, with Veer's protective hold on Akshu showing his need to keep her near, even in unconsciousness. The warmth of their shared embrace was palpable, and the intimacy of the moment was evident in the way they fit so naturally together, as if they were two pieces of a puzzle perfectly aligned. The gentle rise and fall of their breathing synchronized, creating a harmonious rhythm that filled the room with a sense of tranquility and deep, unspoken connection.

Akshu, was the first one to wake up, she slowly took her time and opened her beautiful grey eyes. The first thing she saw, was her Husband's handsome face. She was admiring his features, nowadays, she does a lot, because they didn't get any time for spending some time. She gently brushed his locks away, which were falling on his eyes, making him stir in sleep. Akshu leaned more to him, a playful smile dancing on her lips, "Veeru" she started making sure he is asleep ,"You know, today is my Birthday. I doubt you remember, but it's fine. Thankyou so much for giving me a reason to live this life. E

very year I used to wish on this day, that why I didn't die that day itself when I was born. But fate had other plans, and...", she blinked her eyes few tears falling on her cheeks , "I'm with my new family, it's all because of you. This year every single thing, means so much to me, your presence itself makes my heart flutter. I know you don't listen sometimes, Bholuji. You're cute. Okay Bye", pinching his cheeks for the last time.

Akshu scurried away from him, and went inside the bathroom, she quickly took a shower and made her way in the walking closet. She was only in a towel, that was wrapped around her figure. She was searching for something good to wear, when she heard the closet door open, making her eyes wide, she quickly took a jacket that was lying on the table. She quickly kept it on her shoulder, covering most of her part.

Veer, who just entered inside lazily, seeing akshu in this condition his eyes turned wide. He mumbled a quick sorry, and went away. Akshu's cheeks warmed with embarrassment, and she quickly slipped into a light lavender anarkali set, its soft fabric flowing gracefully as she moved. Feeling more comfortable in her new outfit, she took a deep breath and stepped out of her room. She greeted her family with a warm "Good morning," flashing them a cheerful smile as she passed through the living room.

After exchanging a few words with her loved ones and enjoying the cozy family atmosphere for a moment, Akshu grabbed her dance bag and headed out the door. With a renewed sense of energy, she made her way to her dance academy, ready to immerse herself in the joy of teaching her students and sharing her love for dance.

Akshu's POV:

Standing in the middle of the jewelry shop, I clutched my phone tightly, feeling a mix of nerves and excitement coursing through me. The bright lights of the store seemed to amplify my anxious thoughts. "Oh, God, Shyra... no, what if he doesn't like it?" I asked, my voice barely a whisper. I bit my lip, staring at the gold chain with a sun pendant that lay gleaming in the display case.

Shyra's face filled my screen, her expression patient and warm. "Angel, Jiks will like it. Just take it," she reassured me for what felt like the ninth time today.

I let out a deep sigh, trying to push away my doubts. "Okay," I finally agreed, though my voice still wavered with uncertainty. I knew I was probably overthinking this, but after everything that had happened, I wanted it to be perfect. I wanted him to know just how much he meant to me.

I chose the gold chain with the sun pendant—a symbol that held so much meaning for us. I had bought a similar one for him last time, but I lost it during the kidnapping. The memory still stung, but today, I wanted to turn that pain into something beautiful.

After finishing my shopping, I headed home, my heart racing with anticipation. The house was quiet when I arrived, the usual bustle of the Singhaniya mansion noticeably absent. As I stepped inside, I realized this was my chance.

I quickly made my way to my room, glancing around to make sure no one was watching. My hands were shaking slightly as I opened the closet and hid the gift inside, tucking it safely away until the right moment. I took a deep breath, closing the closet door. "Okay, Akshu, you can do this," I whispered to myself, trying to summon all the courage I could.

As I walked downstairs, I noticed the entire mansion was empty. Not a single soul was in sight. I paused for a moment, wondering where everyone could have gone, but then I felt a spark of excitement. Maybe this was fate giving me the perfect opportunity.

Ignoring the emptiness around me, I decided to take this chance to set up a surprise for Veer. I wanted to confess my love for him, to finally tell him how I felt. My heart fluttered at the thought, a mix of nerves and excitement bubbling up inside me.

I moved quickly, grabbing some candles from the cabinet and setting them up around the living room. I pulled out the roses I had bought earlier, arranging them on the floor in the shape of a heart. I could feel my pulse quicken with each passing second, my thoughts racing.

"What if he doesn't like the surprise?" I muttered under my breath, shaking my head to push the doubts away. "No, I have to do this. He needs to know."

As I finished setting up, I took a step back to admire my work. The room was filled with a warm, romantic glow from the candles, and the scent of fresh roses filled the air. It felt like a scene from one of those dreamy movies, the kind where the girl finally tells the boy she loves him. My stomach flipped at the thought, but I forced myself to stay calm.

I glanced at the clock. Veer would be home soon. I could feel my palms starting to sweat, and my heartbeat felt like it was echoing in the quiet room. "Come on, Akshu, deep breaths," I told myself. "You've faced worse things than this. Just... tell him how you feel."

I paced around the room, rehearsing what I wanted to say. "Veer, I... I love you. No, too direct." I sighed, rubbing my forehead in frustration. "Veer, these past months have made me realize..." I trailed off, feeling my nerves rise again.

I sat down on the couch, trying to calm myself. "It doesn't have to be perfect," I whispered. "Just speak from the heart."

Suddenly, I heard the sound of the front door opening. My heart skipped a beat. This was it. I quickly stood up, smoothing out my dress, and took a deep breath as Veer stepped into the room.

He looked around, confusion flashing across his face as he took in the candles and roses. "Akshu? What's all this?" he asked, his voice soft but curious.

I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dry. "Veeransh... I—" I began, my voice barely a whisper. I took a shaky step forward, my eyes locked on his. "I wanted to do something special for you. To tell you something I should have said a long time ago."

He tilted his head, his eyes searching mine. "What is it?" he asked gently, stepping closer.

I took a deep breath, feeling tears prick at the corners of my eyes. I don't know why I started crying, but I'm super nervous. "Shh...baby calm down! It's okay you don't have to panic", he rubbed my back and it helped me to calm a bit. Just go for it, akshu.

"I love you, Veeransh," I said, my voice steady but filled with emotion. As the words left my lips, I felt a rush of relief and vulnerability all at once. Suddenly, soft music began to play, filling the room with a melody that seemed almost too perfect for the moment. From the corner of my eye, I saw Shyra peeking around the doorway, giving me an enthusiastic thumbs-up. I managed a small nod back at her, focusing all my attention on Veer.

His expression was one of pure shock, his eyes wide as if he couldn't believe what he had just heard. Oh god, did I say it wrong? My heart sank a little. Maybe I had misjudged everything.

Veer blinked a few times, clearly trying to process my confession. "I think I heard it wrong," he mumbled to himself, still in a daze. He looked up, his eyes meeting mine with a mix of confusion and disbelief. "Sweetheart, I know you don't love me..."

[The reel scene which I edited😭💃🏻, it's in my story highlight]

But before he could say anything more, the perfect lines from the song "Khuda Jaane" began to play, as if on cue. I took a deep breath, feeling a wave of courage wash over me, and I decided to let the music speak for my heart. Without thinking, I started to sing along, my voice soft but earnest, pouring every ounce of my love into the words.

"Tu kahe to tere hi kadam ke,

Main nishaanon pe

Chalun rukun ishaare pe"

As I sang, I stepped closer to him, my eyes never leaving his. I wanted him to see the love in my eyes, to understand the depth of my feelings. Every word I sang was a promise, a testament to the love that had been growing inside me for so long.

"Tu kahe to khwabon ka bana ke

Main bahaana sa

Mila karun sirhaane pe"

I saw the confusion in his eyes slowly melt away, replaced by something softer, something that made my heart leap with hope. His gaze softened, his lips parting slightly as if he wanted to say something, but he remained silent, captivated by the moment.

I took a deep breath, feeling the music swell around us, and then, with all the love and determination in my heart, I slowly lowered myself onto one knee. My heart was pounding in my chest, but I knew this was the moment I had been waiting for. I took his hand in mine, looking up into his eyes with all the sincerity I could muster.

Veer's POV:

I felt something shift inside me, a deep, overwhelming sense of emotion that I had kept locked away for so long. I wanted to reach out, to hold her, but I was frozen in place, captivated by her every word.

And then, to my utter disbelief, she dropped down on one knee in front of me. My breath caught in my throat as I watched her take my hand, her eyes never leaving mine. I could see the tears forming in her eyes, but they were tears of love, of hope.

"Veer," she said, her voice soft but steady, "I know I haven't always been the best at showing it, but I love you more than words can say. You're my strength, my safe place, and the person who makes my heart beat faster every day. I want you to know that I love you, with everything that I am."

Her words hit me like a wave, washing over me, pulling me under. My vision blurred as I felt my own tears threaten to spill. She loved me. She really loved me. I could hardly believe it. Every doubt, every fear I had ever had melted away in that moment, replaced by a warmth I hadn't felt in a long time.

"I want to spend every day of my life showing you how much you mean to me. I want to be there for you, to support you, and to love you unconditionally. Will you let me?" she continued, her voice thick with emotion.

For a moment, time seemed to stand still. I could hear nothing but the sound of my own heartbeat, thundering in my chest. The world around us faded away, leaving just the two of us in this perfect, beautiful moment. I couldn't keep the smile from breaking across my face, my heart overflowing with love.

"Akshu," I whispered, barely able to find my voice through the lump in my throat, "I've been waiting to hear those words for so long. I love you too. More than you could ever know."

Her eyes filled with tears, mirroring the emotion I felt in my own heart. Without thinking, I gently pulled her up from the ground, wrapping my arms around her. "Veeransh, I am FOREVER YOURS TRULLY. This Akshu only lives for her Veeransh." She melted into my embrace, and I held her tightly, feeling the warmth of her love surround me. It was like a dream, one I never wanted to wake up from. The soft music continued to play in the background, but all I could hear was the sound of her breathing, the rhythm of our hearts beating in sync. This was what home felt like—right here, in her arms, with her love surrounding me.
